Be curious and ask questions

Socrates (a philosopher born about 2,500 years ago) once said: “The wise person is the person who knows that he doesn’t know very much”.
There is no shame in not knowing something and admitting that. No-one knows everything. Problems can arise though if you say you know something and you don’t. If you don't know something, ask questions.
There is much freedom and joy in accepting that you are a learning machine who in the grand scheme of things knows very little. And, most importantly, know that learning is TOTALLY WITHIN YOUR CONTROL, while much of life is not within your control.
Decide to learn stuff and exercise control where you can.
There is no end to what the world (when you ask questions of it) and other people (when you ask them direct questions) can teach you.
All you need to have is humbility about what you know, the courage to say you don't know something, and a desire to learn.
