Be a needle not a thread

58 of 60
Be specific; when someone asks you for advice, and when you tell someone what you like or love about them, and when you give some feedback that has been asked for.
‘Try harder’ is not specific advice, it is background noise.
‘Try twisting your torso more as you pull your arm through and across the side of your body when you are doing your freestyle swimming.’ That’s a needle that cuts through the noise.
General comments don’t sink in, they skip like skipping stones skip off the surface of Lake Joseph.
Sink in with your words. And see what comes out.
