Feel the intense joy of a connection with another human being (often communicated via a smile).

Roll with the waves of satisfaction you get from achieving something you worked very hard for. Feel these feelings, and experience them.

Don’t skip over them. Don’t minimize them, and definitely don’t rush them. These feelings will pass, it is true. Enjoy joy while it exists.

Telling yourself your heart will sing forever -- though this feels as if it could be the case -- is unfortunately, not true.

Once you have really felt your feelings (which is hard), try your best to minimize adding thoughts of anxiety or stress or self-judgment to those feelings (also hard).

Adding secondary thoughts to feelings, or attaching meaning to them, compounds the feeling to no good purpose.
